CONNECTING PIECES is a Brazilian Hard Rock and Heavy Metal band formed in 2019 by guitarist Paulo Faroni and drummer Rafael “Vinnie” Kuhlmann. Drawing on decades of experience in the Brazilian rock and metal scene, including previous work with bands such as Delpht and Tiger Cult, the musicians joined forces with vocalist Fernando Campos and bassist Vinicius Crespo to create a distinctive sound that blends heaviness, melody, technical excellence, and modern songwriting, driven by powerful riffs and memorable choruses.
In 2022, the band released its debut album, "A Tale of Steam and Light", introducing its musical identity to a wider audience. The music video for the single "Shine To Me Again" surpassed 23,000 views on YouTube, significantly expanding the band's reach.
The following year, Connecting Pieces underwent a lineup change. Carlos Alfano took over guitar duties, while Thiago Cicilini joined as lead vocalist, bringing additional experience and versatility to the project. In June 2023, this new lineup released the EP "Reconnecting", featuring two original songs and four cover tracks that showcased the band's creativity, dynamism, and ability to reinvent itself.
The EP also spawned music videos for the tracks "Army of Viruses" and "Zombie Tsunami", both available on major digital platforms. In 2024, the band released the album "Your Soul Dies First", further establishing its presence in the rock and metal scene and taking its artistic and production standards to a new level.
Today, Connecting Pieces features an outstanding lineup within the Brazilian rock and metal landscape: Leandro Caçoilo (vocals), renowned for his work with the legendary Brazilian band Viper; Rafael “Vinnie” Kuhlmann (drums); Carlos Alfano and Victor Martins (guitars); Vinicius Crespo (bass); and Rodrigo Lopes (keyboards and synthesizers).
With this lineup, the band has completed a brand-new studio album featuring 12 original tracks of pure Hard n´Heavy, scheduled for release in 2026. This upcoming record represents the most mature and ambitious chapter of Connecting Pieces' career so far, reinforcing the band's position among the leading names of the new generation of Brazilian and International heavy music.
